About the Bialy

The bialy originated in Poland in the town of Bialystock.  It is a traditional baked roll and is sort of a cross between a bagel and English muffin.  It is round in shape with a light crust and an airy crumb… a bit salty with a hint of sweetness.  It has a dimpled center filled with caramelized onions, poppy seeds and other special herbs.  A treat for all senses and is rarely found outside of New York City and New Jersey.
